Last night someone burnt popcorn in our basement microwave causing the fire alarms to go off. And because it was a school, of course we got two firetrucks, an ambulance and a police car. It was a great night time adventure :)

Hello Folks :) Here is my address if you ever have the desire to send a care package, a box of love, or note with words.

Some things I love in my mail: Words of love (I adore descriptions of memories we have had together) Food/Target card to get food, Gum, Accessories,Candy (Snickers, Tootsiepops, Skittles, Gummy worms..ect) Lipstick, Movies, A Hug, Family members and friends (such as Erazim, Sydney, Emily...ect), Nail polish (anything but red, peach, or coral, but I do love glittery ones!)

These are by no means a cry for gifts or the rules to sending me things. Feel free to send me whatever you desire, and if that is nothing at all, I will still be just as happy :) I just wanted to be able to offer some suggestions if you were curious, and I will happily receive any cards or boxes with extreme gratitude. This post is just to answer questions, not to prompt or seem like I asking for presents. Pinky promise.

Much Love,
Rebecca

Today is our last day of FYF and we spent it wrapping bears for hungry children :) We were told that these bears would be going world wide to share the gospel as well as early Christmas cheer.

Classes start tomorrow, and more specifically, my art classes. I'm very excited to start my education. The campus is beautiful, but hot, and with no AC in my dorm is easily noticed. The number of friends that I have made changes each day, but generally speaking, everyone here is wonderful and the very nicest a person could be. My only concern now is the HW load, but after comparing my schedule to a ton of others, I am getting the impression I am getting off easy. Only time will tell.

Much Love and thoughts of home,
Rebecca

Roommates!
(from left to right; Rebecca, Kaitlynn, Dana, Holly)

I have successfully moved in and I am on my day two of "freshman" camp. This is our orientation to Trinity that is looking like it will last from Friday to Wednesday. Today we went to downtown Chicago (which is so beautiful and amazing) Each day is loaded from sun up to sun down with scheduled activities such as worship, small group discussion/meeting, volunteering at Children's Hunger, and a few written assignments describing the fabulous time we are having at Trinity. I have heard more people speak about how wonderful it is, how Trinity will become your new family, and the amazing fun time you will have than I can count on 2 hands.

I am just eager for classes to start! I really want to dive into my art classes and see all the opportunities that this city can do for me :) The staff seems very sweet and eager to be involved in our freshman class. There are quite a few freshman, and I can barely remember 3 names of the hundred of people I have met. But everyone here is very earnest in making friends, so finding someone to talk to isn't a problem (Dad would be in heaven).

Finally, I just want to tell you all how much I miss you! I definitely have teared up thinking about how long it will be before I can see some of your beautiful, handsome, adorable faces again. But I am sure once school starts rolling time will fly by.

Much much love,
Rebecca

Hello Everyone :) This blog you can visit as often or as little as you like, but hopefully when you do you can get a little taste of how my college experience is going, the friends I may or may not be making, and the activities that this new chapter in life sends me on.

The current information you should know: I am leaving the morning of the 23rd of August for Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL. Where my goal currently is to pursue a Studio Arts degree, with minors in Philosophy, Art History, and Communication Arts. I will move into my dorm on the 24th, where I have 3 other suite mates currently- Holly, Kaitlynn, and Dana. I am sure we will all get along splendidly. I think I will probably miss my cat the most :p

I know I have the most amazing support group, being in you alls thoughts and prayers. Thank you so so so much!

Much Love,
